Overview

PROCERT Building Approvals is an accredited building certification firm serving residential and commercial projects. Construction certificates, complying development certificates, occupation certificates, principal certifier appointments - they handle the full scope of building certification.

Strong business, strong referral network, experienced certifiers, solid reputation in the industry. But entirely dependent on word-of-mouth. When homeowners and builders started asking AI tools "how do I choose a building certifier?", PROCERT wasn't in the answer.

We partnered with PROCERT in early 2026. Within a month of the first AEO-optimised content going live: 82% AI prompt coverage, 4x Google impression growth, and their first inbound lead driven by AEO content - from a channel that didn't exist a month prior.

We've always grown through referrals - builders who know us pass our name on. That works, but it only reaches people who already know someone in the industry. The challenge

  • Invisible in AI search. When homeowners and builders asked ChatGPT, Gemini, or Copilot "how do I choose a building certifier?", PROCERT wasn't in the conversation. Competitors and directory sites dominated the AI responses.

  • No inbound digital channel. PROCERT had grown exclusively through referrals and industry relationships. The website existed but wasn't generating enquiries - not because the business wasn't good, but because the content wasn't structured for how people now search.

  • Content gap. Existing website pages were service-focused (what PROCERT does) but didn't address the actual questions homeowners and builders are asking AI tools - "private vs council certifier", "how to choose", "what does a certifier cost". The approach
